The Franklin County Health Department is seeing an upsurge in clients with health insurance and much of it is provided by the affordable care act also known as Obamacare. Department Director Midge Ransom told the county commission about some rather astonishing figures covering the first quarter of 2019.
The county commission approved the write-offs. In other actions, commissioners also approved the health department pursuing accreditation with the Public Health Accreditation Board.
