The city of Ottawa has received a grant from Kansas wildlife parks and tourism for over 75 thousand dollars to help with improvements to the Flint Hills Trail through Ottawa. Community development Director Wendy Lee says, “There were two goals. One is able to provide an accessible sidewalk along north first, connecting to the Flint Hills Trail and the Prairie Spirit Trail. The other had to do with signage.
The signs will include 25 directional, 6 interpretive, and 2 Kiosks along with other trail signs and traffic signs.
