Two more public meetings have been scheduled to address concerns over the rising water levels at area reservoirs. The US Army Corps of Engineers will hold the first meeting tomorrow night at Perry-Lecompton high school to address concerns over Perry and Clinton lakes. The meeting begins at 7. As of last night, the US Corps of Engineers was release approximately 37,400 gallons per second but say they will likely double that rate sometime today.
Another public meeting to discuss conditions at Pomona and Melvern Lakes will be held Thursday night at 6. That gathering will be inside Lyndon high school. As of last night, Melvern was about 20 feet above conservation level. The public will be allowed to ask written questions during the meetings.
