The rains the past few weeks have been frustrating for many of us, but there is no one more flustered than local farmers that have been dealing with getting into the fields to plant corn and soybeans. Frontier Extension agent Darren Hibdon says, “Despite the dismal outlook, it is not too late, just yet.”

He adds, “The later it gets, the less that is covered by crop insurance, and that farmers in northern Kansas have had more success getting into the fields.”
