Melvern and Pomona Lakes are at all-time high levels, but things are under control during a special meeting last night at Lyndon High School with the Army Corp of Engineers, reservoir specialist Pendo Duku emphasized that the dams at Pomona and Melvern are in good shape and are in no danger of breaking.
The meeting was held to address concerns about how the flooding has affected the integrity of area lakes. Officials say, “There’s no telling when the parks will re-open because water has covered most campgrounds and roads around the lakes.
