The Ottawa Police Department is gearing up for an accreditation reassessment. The commission on accreditation for law enforcement agencies or Calea will be taking public comment today as part of the process. Police Chief Adam Weingartner says, “The Ottawa Police Department is among a select few.”
The public will have opportunities to call city hall today from 2 to 5 this afternoon to provide feedback to Calea representatives positive or negative or attend a public meeting this afternoon from 5 to 7.
