It’s a big weekend in Williamsburg. The 150th annual sesquicentennial Jayhawker day will be held starting tonight. It all opens up with their famous fish fry with french fries, corn on the cob, cole slaw and hushpuppies, followed by an ice cream social on the basketball courts. Pair good food and great live music from the lost troubadours and you have a great family evening!

There is a full slate of activities planned for tomorrow morning, including a Prairie Paws education exhibit, a book sale at the library, a petting zoo, a beautiful baby contest, inflatable for the kids, and more. And don’t forget the power of the past parade at noon!

Tomorrow afternoon there will be a 3-on-3 basketball contest, a hale bale throwing contest, a pedal tractor pull for the kiddos, the Ottawa band and much more, including some incredible food trucks and other vendors.

The grand parade sesquicentennial jubilee starts at 5, followed by some amazing musical entertainment. Big Rick and Soul’d out will be on the bandstand. A full day of activities for the whole family. See you in the Williamsburg for Jayhawker Days.
