The Ottawa Police Department, while investigating the theft of a golf cart, discovered several other stolen items and it has led to the arrest of three men. 32-year-old Christopher Leach of Ottawa, 29-year-old Ethan Leach, of Ottawa and 23-year-old Quinton Cahoon of Pomona were arrested in reference to the golf cart theft. Both Leaches were charged with theft and possession of the stolen property. Choon for possession of the stolen property. Officers found many other stolen items also, including a motorcycle and a four-wheeler and other undisclosed items. The investigation is ongoing and additional arrest could be made. A tip from a citizen led to the arrest.
Ottawa Police Chief Adam Weingartner says, “Those that commit the crimes, assist in covering them up, possess stolen property, impede the investigation, or intimidate. Any victims or witnesses will be aggressively investigated and prosecuted.” They encourage people to continue to notify them when you see something suspicious or out of place.
