The world’s largest swimming lesson is coming to Ottawa. This is the 10th year for the program, worldwide, the first time Ottawa has held an event. Over 88% of children in the United States do not receive formal swimming lessons. That’s a number that is surprising to many. Those that do start swimming lessons at an early age have a distinct advantage over others that do not. Orc recreation manager Brandon Stortz tells us more.
The worlds largest swimming lesson will be held tomorrow afternoon from 1-2:30 at forest park pool. It is free and open to all kids of all ages. You need to sign up at the front desk of the pool or call the orc, so they have a general idea of how many will be there.
