The City of Ottawa has given the Ottawa Main Street Association what it wanted. A funding agreement for the rest of 2019. However, after some discussion, the city commission reduced the amount by over $3,000. Mayor Blake Jorgensen laid out the resolution.
Commissioner Tom Weigand’s hesitation to vote yes was actually not based on his desire to cut off funding, but actually, he had wanted to keep the funding at the full $15,000.
