The recent flooding of the Don Woodward center forced Eckan to move many programs to the Goppert building while crews cleaned up the mess. While by no means did the water get as high as it did in the 2007 flooding, it will take some time. After the building is reopened, Ekcan supervisor of community centers Korrie Snell says, “There may be a call for volunteers.”
She adds that when the time comes, they will keep the Public Works informed of when and if volunteers are going to be needed.
