If you get knocked down, get up again, and again, and again. That’s what Franklin County road crews are having to do in the latest flooding. Emergency management Director Alan Radcliff says, “A second disaster declaration is in order.”
Radcliff was discussing the latest situation during budget discussions with the county commission. In other budget matters, Franklin County emergency medical services Director Nick Robbins is asking for money to hire additional staff to more adequately man the 911 communications center. Commissioners appear to be in favor of the idea but probably will not take action this year.
