The lights on the lake festival kicked off last night with a patriotic parade. Tonight, the miss Osawatomie pageant will be held at the auditorium. A full day of activities is slated for tomorrow. Things start early with a five K fun run at the lake, then the partners in the education car show at 9 at John Brown Park, and a baby contest at the auditorium, also a tennis clinic at the sports complex. Councilman and official pyrotechnician Dan Macek says, “The fireworks display tomorrow night is one of the best in eastern Kansas.”
Balloon artists, inflatables, including a 2 lane competition water slide, and all kinds of activities for the kids will be there. The musical entertainment will start at 7 with Amanda Fish, followed by revelation, a journey tribute band then FIREWORKS!
