The race for Kansas Senator Pat Roberts seat in the 2020 election is filling up, with up to 16 people saying they are running for the seat Roberts is retiring from. One of those candidates is former Kansas City Chief Dave Lindstrom, who after retiring from football was a successful business owner in Kansas. Lindstrom was in Ottawa yesterday, touring various areas of the city, meeting with city officials and touring Ottawa University with OU alumnus and former Lieutenant Governor Dave Owen. Lindstrom says, “I have a servants heart and want to give back to the people of Kansas. He says if he is given the opportunity to serve, his first order of business would be to work on properly funding and securing the border.

He adds that as a senator, “I would work hard to serve the proud farmers and rancher in Kansas as they continue to find markets for their exceptional products grown here in the heartland.”
