The water levels at area lakes continue to go down, thanks, in part to the dry weather we had the past couple weeks. at Pomona Lake, Park Ranger Erik Patterson says, “We have been able to increase the discharge rate to 1,500 cubic feet per second. The lower water levels are really beginning to show at Pomona.
The Army Corps of Engineers says, “The staff at Pomona has been working tirelessly with cleanup and repairs as the lake level continues to drop. It is likely we will be able to open up some loops in Michigan Valley soon.” They do ask that they public continue to remain patient as it is not an easy cleanup and they want to make sure things are looking as good as possible and be as safe as possible for people wanting to use the lake and the surrounding campgrounds.
