The Ottawa Police Department has an urgent message for you: if you deposited any checks or others items in the Kiosk in the City Hall parking lot Friday, July 12th or Saturday, July 13th, be on the lookout. In a news release, the department says, “Several personal checks stolen from the Kiosk have been passed or used outside of Ottawa. If you left anything in the Kiosk on those days, you should notify your bank or financial institution about the potential theft and monitor your personal information closely. The release states that of particular concern is anything that was dropped in the Kiosk between 1 in the afternoon on July 12th and noon on July 13th.
