OTTAWA — The Kansas University debate team will begin its 2010 debate tour in Ottawa on Monday. The Jayhawk debaters will show off their rhetorical licks beginning at 7 at the Ottawa High School. The East Kansas chapter of the KU Alumni Association will host a reception for the debaters at 6:15. High school students are welcome to attend the reception free. The KU debaters are the national champions and have qualified for the national debate tournament for 42 consecutive years and have five national titles.
