Ottawa University has what might be called a new-old house to add to student housing. It is known as the Gilette house on 7th and Cedar. Named after former Ottawa businessman and Mayor Charles Gilette. He says, “The house is well over a century old.”
Gilette says, “He bought the house last year for $300,000 with more money for maintenance. The house will serve as a women’s residence for Ottawa University.”
