BALDWIN CITY — Artsmosphere, the arts festival that showcases Baker University students, faculty and staff, will close this year’s Artist and Lecture Series on Friday. Artsmosphere will have music, artwork and a student theater performance at McKibbin Recital Hall in the Owens Musical Arts Building and at Rice Auditorium. The musical events will be at 6:30 and at 9 Friday night. The play “Deathtrap” will be at 7:30 at Rice Auditorium. Admission is free to Baker University students, faculty and staff, and $15 for the general public and $10 for youths. Visual art and jewelry will be on display at Ebright Court. The faculty and students will be on hand to discuss their work. Musical highlights include Baker vice president and dean Marvin Hunt who will perform classic blues on guitar, Anne Daugherty will direct a choir of students, alumni and the Sacred Heart Church choir; Baker professor J.D. Parr who will perform with his saxophone quartet and jazz combo.
