LAWRENCE — Bernadette Gray-Little was inaugurated as Kansas University’s 17th chancellor Sunday afternoon. Guest speakers included KU graduates Gov. Mark Parkinson and former governor Kathleen Sebelius. Before coming to KU, Gray-Little was executive vice chancellor and provost from 2006 to 2009 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As chancellor, she’ll oversee campuses in Lawrence, Kansas City, Overland Park and Wichita in addition to research and educational centers in Topeka, Hutchinson, Parsons and elsewhere in the state. S he succeeds Robert Hemenway, who served as KU chancellor for 14 years.
