Final plans have been approved for the long talked about Lotatorium in Baldwin City. A lotatorium is a green space that can host a variety of events. The Baldwin City council approved the construction contract to Lloyd Builders of Ottawa. When completed, the Lotatorium will have a stage, a big screen for viewing events, restrooms, and other features. Initially coming in way over budget, the design was modified and instead of a roof over the structure, there will now be a canopy. Construction is expected to start this month and be completed in early December. Final cost will be about 670 thousand dollars.
