Did you feel it? People in chase county were jostled out of bed early this morning by an earthquake. The U.S. geological survey reported an earthquake initially measured at 3.9 on the Richter scale that took place this morning at 2:37.
The earthquake was centered near the northwest corner of chase county, near the tallgrass prairie national preserve about 12 miles northwest of cottonwood falls.
There have been no reports of damage or injuries from Monday’s quake.
