A chip and seal program may begin today in Osage county. The Kansas department of transportation says the project is scheduled today. The project is on k-31, and extends from the west at mile marker 10, or the Lyon/Osage county line going east to mile marker 16 at the k-31 Dekota street intersection in Burlingame. The contractor expect the project to be completed in two days, weather permitting. If it does not start today, it will start Monday and be completed on Tuesday.
One lane traffic will be controlled by a pilot car. Drivers should expect delays of up to 15 minutes and are encouraged to add extra time to their travel schedules.
