A U.S. Army infantry soldier stationed at Fort Riley is accused of plotting an attack with a quote “large vehicle bomb” on a major American news network and also naming presidential candidate Beto O’rourke as a potential target for assassination.
CNN has said they were the target of the plot. The FBI says they began investigating smith in march after receiving a tip that he was allegedly using Facebook to distribute information about how to build improvised explosive devices.
