The vintage cars from 1972 and beyond will start rolling into Ottawa today, the Ol Marais River Run starts it’s 33rd year. One of the highlights of the Ol Marais River Run every year is “Cruise Night.” For many people, it’s their favorite part of the car show. The city of Ottawa closes Main Street from Tecumseh to 7th street and only allows registered car show participants on Main Street to cruise. Organizer Ed Clark says he loves to see peoples reactions.
He adds that the setting makes you feel like you’re on the scene of the movie “American Graffiti.” Food vendors will be set up on the court house lawn, oldies music will be playing, the Christmas lights on, and many stores in downtown Ottawa will be open for the cruise, from 6 to 10 Saturday night.
