In case you haven’t heard this week is constitution week to mark the writing of the U.S. constitution in 1787. The Ottawa city commission approved a proclamation to honor the event. June Butler is with the General Edward Hand Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, she accepted the proclamation and had some brief remarks.
Butler says the men that wrote the constitution knew they heavy responsibility to craft a document that would allow for the success of the new republic and allow the republic to grow.
