First Christian Church in Ottawa is celebrating their 150th year in Ottawa. Several events are taking place this weekend to commemorate the church and how it has grown and changed throughout the decades. Friday night, they will hold a supper for church members with a performance by Christian music artist Phil and Pam Morgan. The current building was constructed in 1958 and designed by Vince Skidmore, Mayor Mike Skidmore’s father. The church theme for their 150th year is “Love God, Love One Another,” something they believe should be the theme everyday.
