OSAWATOMIE — Osawatomie mayor and Franklin County appraiser Phil Dudley will mark Arbor Day by planting two Bradford pear trees in John Brown Memorial Park May 1 in honor of his parents. Willard and Julia Dudley operated a gas station and a Sears Catalog Store in Osawatomie. He died five years ago. She died earlier this month. The Osawatomie Pride Committee is planning its sixth annual Arbor Cay celebration and cleanup of the park the morning of May 1.
