September was National Preparedness month and the theme this year was “Prepared Not Scared.” One very important thing people need to do to be prepared for an emergency is to make sure they are properly insured. Franklin County Emergency Management Coordinator Thomas Winter says having the proper insurance helps.
He also suggests saving money each week, and letting an emergency fund build up so you will have cash on hand in the event of a disaster.
