Lay the rock down, wash it away, lay the rock down, wash it away, lay the rock down, wash it away. This is the way it went this past spring and summer on county roads. The repeated rains and flooding washed an incredible amount of newly laid rock into the ditches, time after time. Franklin County Public Works Director David Lee says they’re working on getting the ditches cleaned out.
He adds that he knows they are way behind in mowing the 2,200 miles of right away they are responsible for, but he has to utilize mowing crews to help with road repairs.
