If you’re a farmer and thinking about leasing out land for a wind turbine or solar panels, better do some careful research. That’s part of the reason for a renewable energy conference at Neosho County Community College sponsored by Franklin County Farm Bureau. One guest speaker was Wendee Grady, an attorney with Kansas Farm Bureau. She says there are some consequences to consider before leasing.
Grady says to always talk to a real estate attorney before leasing because he or she is well acquainted with the complicated details involved in energy leasing.
