Do you know someone who truly needs a coat? More than 1,000 coats for all ages, hats, gloves, scarves and blankets will be given away in the “Coats For Folks” giveaway at the Louisburg United Methodist Church. This isn’t just open to Louisburg residents, Anyone in the area in need of a coat can stop by the church and select a coat. The giveaway started Thursday and runs through today.
Those in need of a coat that cannot make it to the church during giveaway hours, or if privacy is an issue, can call the church office for alternative arrangements. Leftover coats and accessories will be donated to the Grace United Community Ministries in downtown Kansas City after this weekend. This mission serves the homeless, those suffering from addictions and it has a children’s after school tutoring program.
