There may be a slight change in the way contractors are licensed in Ottawa. At the city commission study session, Community Development Director Wyndee Lee noted that surrounding cities license contractors according to the company they work for.
Lee says the city acts as a neutral party to regulate the relationship between the contractor and the customer to insure a good outcome. The city commission is expected to take up the issue at its regular meeting tomorrow night.
