A scary moment for a Pomona resident early Tuesday morning. Around 3:30 that morning, Steven Hamm of Pomona wake up to the sound of someone trying to kick in the back door of his house at 515 Hoover Street. He called 911 immediately and went to investigate. Whoever was kicking at the door had entered the house but took off running. Franklin County Deputies responding to the scene, after an investigation and searching the area for the person responsible.
They located 31-year-old Joshua Hoyt walking close by. He was taken into custody a short time later and charged with aggravated burglary and criminal damage to property. He remains in the Franklin County Jail.
