The Ottawa City Commission has approved a proclamation December 3rd as International Day of Persons with Disabilities during the regular city commission meeting, Commissioner Tom Weigand read for the official proclamation.
The modern trend to provide opportunities for disabled people was launched in 1990 with passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
