It appears the Ottawa Main Street Association will be reborn, although with some new faces. The association proposes to form a partnership with the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce in conducting activities. Mary Raley of Maggie’s Popcorn is vice-president of the Ottawa Main Street 2019 Board of Directors. She told the City Commission that downtown businesses are coming back to the organization.
The city is drawing up a proposed contract on funding and other terms for consideration by the City Commission. Possible approval could come in December.
