OTTAWA — The Love’s Travel Center, which is southeast of the I-35 and U.S. 59 interchange at Ottawa, has hit a flat tire and the project has been temporarily halted.
Ottawa city manager Richard Nienstedt said Love’s officials remain committed to the project and that it will be built late this year or next year. Love’s officials have remained in touch with the city and say they had suspended all building projects for the time being but will return to the Ottawa project, Nienstedt said. They ask that the city continue installing the utilities at the site. Love’s has spent more than $1 million for the site, he said.
