ECKAN and the countywide “Spirit of Christmas” committee in Garnett have plans underway for the 2019 Christmas season. The applications have been accepted, the angels are decorated and the committee is hard at work to publicize the spirit of Christmas.
They will have “Angel Trees” at the banks in Colony, Greely, Kincaid, and Westphalia, as well as Garnett City Hall, ECKAN and Yoder’s Country Store. There will also be an angel tree in the fire station before, during, and after the Christmas parade on November 30th. If you have purchased gifts for an angel, please return them to ECKAN by December 11th unwrapped, with gift paper or sack for the ECKAN staff to coordinate children with the family application. If you would like to donate money or a new toy, or perhaps adopt a family, contact the Garnett ECKAN office.
