WICHITA — The Kansas Water Authority will hear a presentation on carbon capture when it meets May 13-14 in Wichita. The Kansas Geological Survey’s Rex Buchanan and Lynn Eatney will talk about carbon capture — a new approach to reduce fossil fuel emissions. Carbon dioxide is captured from industries and injected into a deep salt aquifer underlying 20 counties in south central Kansas. The authority will also receive an update on a study to extend the water supply at Perry Reservoir. The authority helps set policy regarding water in Kansas. Check the Web site at www.kwo.org for more information about the meeting.
