GREELEY — Anderson County Commissioner Dean Register has filed for re-election. Register, a Democrat from Greeley, is finishing his third term as 1st district county commissioner. He is the only person to file. Commissioners receive a salary of slightly more than $14,000 per year, plus benefits. The deadline for filing is noon June 10. Candidates can file by petition signed with at least three percent of the district’s registered voters signing and pay a $35 state fee; or pay a filing fee of 1 percent of the annual salary.
