OSAWATOMIE — Osawatomie High School Science Club students placed at the recent Pittsburg State Science Day competition. The Osawatomie Journal reported the club was the top earth and science team at the competition and placed second in physics. Kirsten Scott and Matt Chester were first, and Julia Dorsett and Tabitha Kearst placed second in the water balloon drop. Andy French took first in the Mars Colony competition. Riley McDougal placed second in rock recognition and astronomical shuffle. Bryan Rickarson placed third in rock recognition and astronomical shuffle.
