Christmas is over and now comes the task of un-decorating the tree. But wait, you have a real tree and wonder “where am I going to put this thing?” Never fear, the City of Ottawa has you covered. The city has made a Christmas tree drop off site available for you to safely dispose of the tree. They have designated the asphalt parking lot to the east of Orlis Cox Baseball Complex as the drop off site this year. All trees must be stripped of decorations and free of any plastic before being dropped off. They ask that you take your tree as far northeast as possible in the lot. City crews will remove all trees beginning Friday January 10. There are signs posted at the site to make sure trees are put in the proper place.
