TOPEKA–The Kansas economy is looking up, at least in terms of jobs. Franklin County’s Unemployment rate in April was 7.8%, down from 9.7% in March. Anderson County’s rate was 7.2%, down from a March rate of 8%. Linn County had 8.5% people unemployed, but that’s much improved from 11.4% in March. Miami County had 6.5%…compared with 8.3% the previous month. Finally, Osage County had 7.5%, down from 8.9% in March.
