OTTAWA — Ottawa city commissioners looked at proposed street work for this summer at their meeting Monday afternoon. City manager Richard Nienstedt said the amount of planned work has been scaled back by nearly half. The money for the project would come from a fund from gasoline tax receipts but the fund has sharply declined over the years, he said. Pavement work is scheduled for East 15th Street from the Rock Creek bridge to Montana Road, K-68 between Beech and the bridge, Willow Street between 15th and 17th streets, and a parking lot in the 100 block of East Walnut Street.
