If you could describe this year’s growing season in one word, you might say wet. Not only did we see a lot of rain spread out over many different events, it also came in large quantities. Frontier Extension Agent Darren Hibdon says it created some unique situations for local farmers as many fields were underwater as many as 8 times.

He adds that the fall harvest came on, pleasantly surprising, with field conditions that were for the most part dry.
