TOPEKA–Kansas Governor Mark Parkinson has directed flags to be flown at half-staff throughout Kansas from sunup to noon on Monday, Memorial Day. In his Proclamation, Parkinson urged Kansans to not forget what the day is about….paying respect and tribute to men and women in uniform. The Governor will recognize the signifiance of Memorial Day at a ceremony at Fort Riley on Monday at 11:30.
