OTTAWA — The annual Lunch Bunch program begins today at noon at the Don Woodward Center. Besides a free lunch that ensures that children get a hot, nutritious meal during the summer months and activities held by the Ottawa Recreation Center after lunch, children with perfect attendance will be in the running to win one of two bicycles at the end of summer, said ECKAN director Richard Jackson. The program is open to any child between 1 and 18 living in the Ottawa school district. ECKAN asks parents to make reservations for their children for about the first two weeks so it can get an estimate of how many meals that will be needed.
