We all know that winter is coming, whether we like it or not. Old man winter is forecasted to bring frigid temperatures to our area again. With that in mind, Ottawa Public Works Director Michael Haeffle wants to be ready. He told the Ottawa City Commission that he recently ordered 750 tons of salt.
He added that the city is not on the hook for all 750 tons, if it is not needed. However, since it is on the pre-order the salt mine cannot cut us off again.
