OTTAWA — County commissioners agreed Wednesday to apply for an $8,900 state grant to help fund the county’s septic inspection program. County planner Larry Wwalrod says it’s a routine request that’s been made for 13 years. But this year, because of state cutbacks, isn’t as routine. The grant is 8.5 percent less this year, he said.
