A memorandum of understanding with the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism will come up for consideration by the Ottawa City Commission at its next meeting. Public Works Director Michael Haeffele says it will affect the alleyway between 15th and 17th on the West side of Main.
The city commission is also expected to reorganize itself at the next meeting, commissioner Tom Weigand has informally been nominated as the next mayor, but that does not become definite until acted upon at the January 15th meeting.
